Rushmoor Borough Council has published the official results from the 7 May 2026 local elections, giving Aldershot residents the ward-by-ward figures behind the new council picture.

The published results include several Aldershot wards. In Aldershot Park, Sharon Harvey of Reform UK was elected with 678 votes. In Manor Park, Jib Narayan Belbase of the Conservatives was elected with 891 votes. In North Town, Sarah Joanne Spall of Labour was elected with 903 votes. In Rowhill, Kevin Betsworth of Reform UK was elected with 768 votes. In Wellington, Uttar Gurung of Labour was elected with 551 votes.

Turnout Across the Town

Rushmoor’s figures show turnout varied by ward. Aldershot Park recorded 35.7%, Manor Park 46.8%, North Town 39.1%, Rowhill 46.3% and Wellington 31.7%. The overall turnout for Rushmoor was 41.97%.

Those numbers matter because local elections decide councillors who deal with planning, neighbourhood services, parks, licensing, local environmental work and the town-centre policies residents notice between national elections.

What Residents Should Watch

For Aldershot, the next stage is practical. Residents will want to see whether the new council line-up brings visible progress on town-centre confidence, street maintenance, housing pressures, local facilities and communication with neighbourhoods.

Election night decides the seats. The months afterwards decide whether residents feel any difference.
